Over 1,000 academic investigators worldwide are using or have used ARIAD's cell-signaling regulation technology in diverse areas of research, and over 300 scientific papers describing their use have been published. Non-exclusive licensing by pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies also is available for internal drug discovery research and/or to support third-party sponsored collaborations. Commercial licenses are provided with designated proprietary biological materials and protocols as needed to practice the applications of interest. For example, we have a non-exclusive license agreement with GPC Biotech AG, or GPC, that grants GPC the right to use our ARGENT cell-signaling regulation technology in GPC's three-hybrid technology platform.
