Shirish Hirani, Ph.D.

Shirish Hirani, Ph.D. has served as our Vice President, Program and Alliance Management since October 2005. From 2002 to 2005, Dr. Hirani served as Vice President, Program Management and as Vice President, Drug Development at Transkaryotic Therapies Inc., and from 1997 to 2002, he held various senior management positions at Dyax Corp., including most recently Senior Vice President, Product Development. Previously, Dr. Hirani held senior research and development positions at ImmuLogic Pharmaceuticals Corporation and Genzyme Corporation. Dr. Hirani received his B.Sc and Ph.D. degrees in biochemistry from Queen Elizabeth College, University of London, United Kingdom.
