Job Title: Associate Scientist, Discovery Biology/Screening
Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated scientist to join our drug discovery group. As a member of the screening team you will perform cellular and enzymatic assays to identify small molecule drug candidates for oncology.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Help develop and validate cell-based and enzymatic assays and employ them to screen and analyze drug candidates.
- Including cell proliferation, apoptosis, cell cycle, ELISA, Western and kinase assays.
- Manipulate, review and interpret data.
- Prepare technical reports.
Job Requirements:
- B.S. or M.S. in Biology or a related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience performing cellular and enzymatic assays.
- Experience using automated laboratory equipment is desirable.
- Industry experience in oncology-related drug discovery is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with excellent technical and organizational skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
