Job Title: Associate Scientist, Translational Research
Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated scientist to join our deforolimus (AP23573) translational research group. As a member of this team you will perform cellular and biochemical assays to assess the effects of deforolimus and other therapeutic compounds in cancer models. You will also manage the receipt of clinical specimens and perform assays in compliance with FDA GLP regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform cellular proliferation, apoptosis, and viability assays
- Assess protein expression by western blot and ELISA
- Process and analyze clinical samples under GLP conditions
- Grow and maintain cancer cell lines
- Prepare cell culture media and assay reagents
- Review and interpret data
- Prepare technical reports
Job Requirements:
- BS or MS in Biology or a related discipline with a 1-5 years of laboratory experience
- Cell culture and western blotting experience preferred
- Industry experience a plus
- Detail-oriented with excellent technical and organizational skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
