A focus on four key areas of cancer science.
Our focus is cancer. We are concentrating our efforts on areas of greatest unmet need, including sarcomas, chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), Philadelphia-chromosome positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and other blood cancers.
ARIAD’s approach to cancer targets four key areas of science. Our clinical trials of oral ridaforolimus in advanced endometrial and prostate cancers have focused on hormone biology. Our clinical trial of ponatinib in CML, along with our study of ridaforolimus in breast cancer, have centered on overcoming drug resistance to current marketed therapies and our next internally discovered drug candidate, AP26113, an investigational dual inhibitor of ALK and EGFR, focuses on an emerging target linked by genetics to certain malignancies such as non-small-cell lung cancer.
